Olympia School District Technology Fair

The second annual Olympia School District Technology Fair, featuring elementary, middle and high school student demonstrations and projects, will be held on Saturday, January 23 at Olympia High School.

The free event, open to all community members, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school Commons, 1302 North St. S.E. in Olympia.

During the event, students will showcase the latest educational technology and how they are using it to advance skills in core academic subjects such as reading and writing, and classes in the arts and career and technical education programs. Various district departments also will have tables with information about how technology is used in their work.

For the first time this year, students will also participate in a Technology Challenge. Student teams at both the elementary and the middle and high school levels will be presented with a secret technology challenge the morning of the Technology Fair. Teams will then collaborate to create a presentation that will be evaluated in the afternoon by a panel of judges.
