Olympia Mountaineers Adventure Speaker Series: Lauren Danner

Olympia Mountaineers invites members and non members to the Potluck and Adventure Speaker Series featuring Lauren Danner, author of North Cascades National Park: A Crown Jewel Wilderness.
Author and outdoor enthusiast Lauren Danner traces the fascinating story of North Cascades National Park, a crown jewel of the national park system that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Come learn how the park jump-started wilderness preservation in the Pacific Northwest and influenced the modern environmental movement. As part of her talk, Danner will highlight places and hikes in the North Cascades important to understanding its history.

Door opens at 5:30 pm, potluck dinner starts promptly at 6pm. Bring a dish to share, plate and flatware.
