Since 1924 The Olympia Garden Club has been promoting gardening education, floral design, civic projects, and environmental responsibility. Visitors are invited to the next meeting on Thursday January 29 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1925 Boulevard Rd, SE, Olympia. Gathering begins around 9:00 AM with a social time to view horticulture/design displays and purchase plants donated by members. Business meeting begins at 10 AM and incudes Chairpersons reporting on club projects. Tina Wagner of the Urban Conservation Connection will present the program. Tina is the Community Agriculture Programs Coordinator for Thurston Conservation District. She works with many local partners to build and energize community gardens, connects landowners and farmers with land through the South Sound FarmLink and Farm My Yard Land matching programs, and brings soil, water, and other Conservation Education to Community members. Members bring their own lunch and coffee cups. Coffee and tea will be provided.
