Mental Health Basics

Chances are, you’ve encountered someone experiencing a mental health challenge in our community. Often people feel helpless, afraid or uncertain of what to do in the moment. This training is meant to help non-professionals identify a potential mental health crisis, increase your understanding of what the individual is experiencing, and know what resources are available to you to assist the person in need. We will cover common mental health crisis, what resources are in the community and when to call who.
