The finale on Monday, Dec 10 celebrates the 70th Anniversary of International Human Rights Day and recognizes the work of the Washington State Human Rights Commission. Additionally, stories will be shared about the issues and impacts of gender-based violence and ideas for legislative changes that can make a difference to be proposed for the upcoming session.
All around the world, women today face barriers – barriers to equality, to resources, to opportunities — to name a few. These barriers range from violence at home, violence at work, violence in their communities. It could be a barrier to credit, to the connectivity needed to launch a business or get a promotion.
