Homes First! welcomes five veterans to their new home in Tumwater. Through a partnership with Catholic Community Services and a City of Tumwater Community Development Block Grant, Homes First! is happy to announce that on December 10, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. five veterans will be welcomed to their new shared home.
“Homes First! knows that everyone needs a safe, healthy, and affordable home, especially our veterans”, states Trudy Soucoup, Homes First! Executive Director. “For the past 25 years of providing affordable rental housing for our low income neighbors in Thurston County, our power has been in building partnerships to bring community together to support the needs of our neighbors. This is our first totally veteran-shared housing and a great first step towards solving the housing challenges our veterans endure.”
The Welcome Home party begins at 5:30 p.m. on December 10, and requires you to RSVP to Homes First! at openingdoors@homesfirst.org.
