Gallery Show: Bernard Bleha, Sculptural Paintings

Free reception on March 12 at 6pm. Bernie’s art deals with the abstract and the placement of design elements that provoke a variety of reactions from the viewer. The shapes and forms he uses are simple but their positioning within the picture plane are formal in structure. Color is an element he uses to stimulate the eye and make shapes “vibrate” and “pop.” The themes he uses in most of the wall pieces are pure design and texture while sculptural pieces center on an abstract confrontation with reality.
