As part of our monthly series of climate change forums, in May Thurston Climate Action Team will be hosting a forum on, “Tribal Responses to Climate Change.” Featuring panelists from South Sound tribes, this discussion will focus on the climate change impacts tribes are facing, how they are responding, and how the rest of us can support their efforts. Panelists include Steve Robinson, public relations consultant for Northwest tribes, George Walter, Natural Resources Department of the Nisqually Tribe, and Candace Penn, Climate Change Specialist for the Squaxin Island Tribe.
