Join Stream Team and Workshop instructors, Kira Kranzler, Scientific Technician with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) forage fish team and Geoffrey Mayhew, Washington Conservation Corps intern with Washington Department of Natural Resources Aquatic Program, as they introduce us to forage fish ecology and forage fish beach spawning survey methods.

The lecture portion of the workshop will explore the life history and habitat requirements of the forage fish found in south Puget Sound.

The lab and field portion of the workshop will be for those interested in volunteering  as a Citizen Scientists; a hands-on demonstration of how to identify egg types and  developmental phases, and forage fish survey methods.

Come prepared with knee boots to learn how to survey and process spawned eggs.
