FAIR FLOWER SHOW ENCOURAGES YOUTH TO ENTER

The Black Hills District of Garden Clubs is asking the community to help spread the word and encourage youth of all ages from preK to 18 (in Thurston and Lewis counties) to enter the 2018 Thurston County Fair Junior Flower Show. The dates of the Fair are August 1-5, 2018. Entries are to be brought to the Fairgrounds Expo Hall on Tuesday, July 31st from 4-7 p.m.

“New this year! There will be a Junior mini-show within the adult show. Children can bring horticulture entries, a simple floral design, an educational exhibit, craft or photo,” Suzann Stahl, General Chairman of this year’s flower show, commented. “It’s very easy to enter; some pre-registration is required. That information can easily be accessed on the website www.blackhillsdistrict.com. Just click on the “Events” tab, scroll down to the Thurston County Fair listing, and click on the HERE for the Junior Division Schedule,” Stahl added.

“The flower show committee and I are so excited to have this wonderful addition to the Thurston County Fair Flower Show this year.
