Hit songwriter and recording artist Gretchen Christopher will perform songs of life, love and romance at the Olympia Timberland Library.
Christopher was one-third of the popular musical group, The Fleetwoods. Her musical collaborators were Gary Troxel and Barbara Ellis. The vocal trio produced many chart-topping songs in the 1950s and 1960s, including the 1959 hit “Come Softly to Me.” In 2007, Christopher released “Gretchen’s Sweet Sixteen (Suite 16)” CD. It was named one of Billboard Critics’ Picks for the 10 best albums of the year.
