“It’s a Family Affair” Breast Health Symposium

New Life Baptist Church will be joining with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Puget Sound Affiliate (Komen) on Saturday, October 3rd for Worship in Pink Breast Health Symposium 2015, to provide breast cancer screening and breast health care education to women age 40 and older in Pierce and Thurston counties. Worship in Pink is a national campaign sponsored by Komen that works to spread the life-saving message of breast cancer early detection among women, particularly African American women who have the highest breast cancer mortality rate in America. The reason is a lack of annual breast cancer screening. We are currently making appointments for mammograms. Please call the church office to schedule if you are 40 and older.
The Symposium, like last year will feature healthy cooking classes, health screenings, massage therapy.
