On April 22 and 23, The Evergreen State College will host education leaders from around the country for the inauguration of the college’s sixth president, George S. Bridges, Ph.D.

Four major events make up the complete Inauguration Celebration. They are:
April 22, 1-2:30 p.m.         Inauguration Ceremony
April 22, 3-5 p.m.              Alumni Showcase Interviews and Discussion
April 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.    Film Screening of Most Likely To Succeed followed by panel discussion
April 23, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.   Service day projects at various sites with three local nonprofits:
– Trail building with Capitol Land Trust
– Garden preparation with Thurston County Food Bank’s School Gardens Program
– Blue heron habitat restoration with Olympia Coalition for Ecosystems Preservation.

Locations: The Evergreen State College, Costantino Recreation Center (Inauguration Ceremony and Alumni Showcase), Communications Building Recital Hall (film screening). On April 23, Day of Service volunteers will meet in the lobby of the campus Library building prior to traveling to the off-campus work sites.
