Thurston County residents are invited to join the PARC Foundation in partnership with the Cities of Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater for one of three Earth Day work party events on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Restoration projects are on-going throughout the year, but it is during Earth Day that we work together in hosting hundreds of volunteers at multiple sites to make a huge impact on the same Day!

Our projects this year:

Wonderwood Park

5304 32nd Ave SE, Lacey

Register with Lacey Parks & Recreation:

Priest Point Park

Each of the Park Departments will supply all the tools needed, plus refreshments and snacks for all workers. Projects are going to last 2-4 hours, beginning at 10:00 AM. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome, with volunteers under 14 accompanied by an adult. All volunteers should bring a water bottle and weather-appropriate clothing, work gloves, and sturdy shoes or boots.  Rakes and pruning tools are also encouraged.

The PARC Foundation in partnership with 3Degrees has challenged Thurston County schools to compete for a cash award of $500 for their school’s ASB by signing up the most student volunteers.
