Olympia’s Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd welcomes David Deacon-Joyner as guest musician at a 10 AM church service followed by a free community concert at 11 AM on Sunday July 11. Located at 1601 North St SE (across from Oly High School), the event will be held outdoors under a beautiful canopy of tall firs (or inside the church in case of rain).
A professor of jazz studies for over 30 years, Deacon-Joyner has performed all over the world and has composed and/or arranged music for symphony orchestras and jazz big bands throughout the United States.
