Chum, Chowder & Chocolate Fundraiser

Join us at the Kennedy Creek Salmon Trail for a fun get together to support the Kennedy Creek Salmon Trail. Visit the Trail, have a cup of Xhin’s Clam Chowder or a bowl of hearty chili and a mug of hot coco. Taylor Shellfish will be serving up the Chowder and SPSSEG will provide two kinds of chili, coffee, tea and hot coco. $5.00 suggested donation. A $35 donation provides a field trip for 10 kids. This year, 4,000 local school kids will visit the Trail in the month of November.

Access to the trail is free for everyone. For 2016, the Trail was supported directly by visitor donations, a $2,500 grant from the Squaxin Island Tribe and $2,500 from the Community Foundation of South Sound specifically for transportation costs. The land is owned by Taylor Shellfish Farms, who graciously provides access to the Trail and assists with our “Chum, Chowder and Chocolate” fundraiser.
