Come celebrate Earth Day with us!

On Saturday, April 21st, we’ll be holding a work party focusing on our lovely prairie demonstration garden. This is a great opportunity to learn more about native prairie plants, enjoy the spring weather, and get your hands a little dirty with some fun gardening time.

Our Prairie Demonstration Garden is where we teach students about our local wildflowers and is the seed source for all of the seed we use for our outreach activities. We also use this garden to teach community members about our native wildflowers and their seeds. The seeds that come out of this garden go out into local community members landscapes or gardens. Stop by and help keep this native seed resource looking good and learn about the many native wildflower species that could be growing in your back yard! Volunteers who attend this event are welcome to bring home some of our native wildflower seeds in seed ball form or in small seed packets.

Carpooling can be provided from our office in downtown Olympia, please give at least 24 hours notice if you plan on using this. Contact ssvolunteers@cnlm.org for directions, questions, or more information.
