“The Three Great Floods of Washington’s Past”

David Kaynor presents a look at the three great floods in Washington State’s prehistory. Washington State has been shaped by monumental floods that have not been seen on our planet in thousands of years. One of these floods is unique to the Pacific Northwest for the North American Continent. Topics will include best places to view the formations left behind, how each feature was formed and what you can expect to see. This class is a great starting place for longtime residents and newly arrived people who would like to explore some of the best Washington State has to offer.
David Kaynor has been teaching a variety of classes with South Puget Sound Community College and Olympia Parks Department for over 8 years and an avid geology enthusiast and traveler throughout Washington State.
Event is Free, but space is limited. Please register at: http://www.rei.com/event/54284/session/82127
