Capitol to Bay Relay
The Capitol to Bay Relay (previously the Olympia Traverse) is a fun relay race that celebrates the life of wild salmon and the natural and urban challenges of their journey. The five-leg relay starts at Capitol Forest with mountain biking, road biking, paddling, running and ends at Budd Inlet with the Team Trek leg. The race concludes at the Port Plaza in Olympia where vendors, racers, and fans join together with the Thurston County Chamber’s Brew Fest to celebrate and enjoy the local festivities. The purpose of this 37-mile race is to showcase the varied geography and recreational opportunities in Thurston County while at the same time encouraging health and fitness.
