Community Youth Services is repeating its successful and COLORFUL 5K run at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. Registration, with early-bird discounts, is open NOW for the 2nd Annual Brighter Futures Run, on a new course near the Olympia Tumwater Regional Airport and with breaktaking Mt. Rainier views.
This is South Sound’s ONLY purely local color run, which in its first year drew more than 500 walkers/runners.
Runners begin the race in all white and proceed through six “color zones,” where an environmentally safe mix of cornstarch and tempera paint is tossed in the air, covering them with a rainbow of colors.
ALL ages and ALL fitness levels are welcome. Kids 10 and under are FREE with a registered adult, but are asked to register for safety reasons.
