County crews will close the Yelm Rainier Tenino Trail between Manke Road SE and Tipsoo Drrive SE from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 11, 2022 for maintenance work. To keep the area safe during work hours, access to the trail will be blocked and no detour will be available.
The one-day closure is necessary to complete maintenance work which will improve worn sections of the paved trail. Work is scheduled to be completed in advance of the July 16-17, 2022 Seattle to Portland (STP) bike ride. The event brings thousands of riders to Thurston County trails annually but has not been held since 2019 due to the pandemic.
