The City of Lacey invites the public to participate in a second virtual Open House for the Greg Cuoio Park and Greenways Master Plan on Wednesday, July 28 from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. This event is part of the community-engagement process that gives the public an opportunity to provide input on what improvements and park amenities the Master Plan should include.

“Public input is a critical piece of the master-planning process,” states Lacey’s Parks, Culture, and Recreation Director, Jen Burbidge. “We want to create a place for residents and visitors to experience and learn about this pristine area, while preserving the site’s natural amenities and minimizing our footprint on the land. The site’s natural features will enhance Lacey’s overall park system and represent a truly unique asset for the area. Community involvement is vital to the success of the Master Plan.”

Open House #2 will provide an:

  • Overall vision for the Greg Cuoio Park and Greenways.
  • Opportunity for the public to provide input on design alternatives to help the City determine what improvements should be included in the Master Plan.

Interested parties can register for the online open house, held via Zoom.

Open House #1 was held in May 2021 and introduced the Master Plan boundaries, and provided an overview of the site analysis including natural features, wilderness, and wetlands found within the site limits.
