The Thurston Community Media Board of Directors is looking for new board members. “The changing media and technology environment means we need to evolve too,” says CEO, Deborah Vinsel. “As a nonprofit organization, our Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring we have the resources and structures in place to meet challenges and adapt to our changing world. We are looking for people interested in our mission to fill a couple of vacancies.”

TCMedia is committed to creating an organization that includes and respects cultural, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation and gender identity diversity. BIPOC and people of all sexual orientations and gender identities are encouraged to apply.  Experience with fundraising, business, finance, or prior nonprofit board services are highly desired attributes of potential board members.

Board members serve 2-year terms. Board and committee work requires a time commitment of about 4 hours per month. The TCMedia Board meets monthly on the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.  However, the day and time are subject to change to depending on board members availability and to accommodate holidays. Board meetings are currently being held via ZOOM.  Board members are volunteers and do not receive compensation.

Recruiting is ongoing. The nominating committee will begin reviewing applications on November 10th.
