Submitted by Washington State Department of Transportation

As soon as Sunday, July 26, travelers who use both directions of the Marvin Road (State Route 510) overpass in Lacey could encounter increased congestion due to construction.

The delays will continue until crews close Marvin Road overpass along with the adjacent Interstate-5 off- and on-ramps during the last weekend of the month.

The work allows crews to transform the overpass into a diverging diamond interchange.

  • Early morning hours of Sunday, July 26 to the evening of Friday, July 31

Southbound Marvin Road after the Britton Parkway Northeast/Willamette Drive Northeast roundabout to I-5 will be reduced to one lane around-the-clock.

  • Northbound changes continue
Travelers using northbound Marvin Road will continue to see existing lane restrictions through Friday, July 31. The right lane of northbound Marvin Road is open for through traffic, and the left lane is a left-turn only to southbound I-5.
  • Weekend closure 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 31 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 3
    • Marvin Road overpass between Quinault Drive Northeast and Main Street Northeast.
    • Both Marvin Road on-ramps to southbound I-5 and northbound I-5.
    • Northbound and southbound I-5 exits to Marvin Road.
