Travelers who use the Marvin Road Northeast (State Route 510) overpass to access southbound Interstate 5 in Lacey will need to plan extra travel time for an around-the-clock closure.

If the weather cooperates, the busy on-ramp will close to all traffic at 9 p.m. Friday, March 20. The around-the-clock closure will continue until 5 a.m. Monday, March 23.

All users of the roadway are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure and add plenty of extra time to help avoid travel delays.

The closure will allow crews to rebuild the on-ramp in an effort to upgrade the existing overpass into a diverging diamond interchange.

Advance information about this project and other roadwork on state highways is available at the Thurston County construction and travel updates web page.
