The Tenino Quarry Pool will open for the 2019 season on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

The cost of using the pool remains one of the area’s best outdoor recreation values.  Ticket prices can be found on the City’s website.

The City has invested in new filtration devices and added a floating fountain in an effort to improve water quality.  “We’re not done, either,” says Mayor Wayne Fournier, “we are working with Thurston County to begin work on a long-delayed renovation that will see a complete transformation of the shallow, improved end, of the pool.”

The City has been approved to spend up to $297,000.00 to renovate portions of the pool with a view toward gaining operating efficiencies while providing a better swimmer experience.  “With the construction industry booming, it’s hard to get these specialty contractors to bid on a project under a million dollars” says Public Works Director Troy Cannon.  Thurston County is working with the City to award a contract using alternative contracting procedures.

Tenino’s Quarry Pool is open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m., holidays excepted.  Please visit the City’s website for additional details:
