Port Commissioner Bill McGregor and staff will welcome Shin-Nishinomiya Yacht Harbor President Shoji Sakai and Chief Manager, Toshihiro Kuroki, for a marina tour and commemorative lunch. Port Commissioners and guests will participate in the 55th anniversary Sister State signing ceremony at the Capitol where the marina agreement will also be renewed. The public is invited to the signing ceremony taking place in the State Reception Room at 3:30 p.m.

Commissioner McGregor said the essential purpose of the sister marina relationship is the benefit that it will bring to the marinas, local communities, and both states and nations.

“We are reaffirming our agreement to exchange information on the development of our marina services and operations, and share knowledge and activities on environmental stewardship,” said McGregor, “and at the heart of this agreement is our cultural exchange to promote mutual understanding and further relations between the citizens of Japan and the United States.”
