Often the ones that are making the most impactful changes are just ordinary-seeming people who hardly ever get recognized for their work. The changes they make start out small and slowly snow-ball into changing policies and standing in the face of adversity, giving opportunities to thousands. Our community owes some recognition to these people, especially women, for lending a hand when no one else will and making changes when no one else thinks they can.

YWCA Olympia is pleased to announce that nominations for their Annual Women of Achievement Celebration will be accepted up to August 5, 2016. They are looking for people like you to recognize the women and girls and businesses in your community who’s inspiring work deserves some gratitude. Nominees will be considered based how she models her life in line with the YWCA Olympia mission to eliminate racism and sexism to advance the political, social and economic status of all women and girls.
