Hospital services and patient care were not disrupted after a vehicle crashed into a wall of Capital Medical Center yesterday afternoon. The vehicle damaged a brick and glass wall of the hospital’s outpatient registration waiting room. No one was seated near the wall at the time of the incident.

A structural engineer from the City of Olympia determined that the building was safe for continued occupancy. Contractors were brought in to construct a temporary wall overnight which closed off the damaged area so repairs could begin.

Patients and visitors to Capital Medical Center should not expect any change in the services the hospital provides.
