The OSD Players, a theatrical group of teachers, staff, and students from the Olympia School District will perform Magical Moments! at Olympia High School’s Performing Arts Center on February 19-22. Featuring hits from 20 years of fantastic musicals, this is definitely a performance that is sure to please audience members of all ages!

Kicking off with “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, the cast of over 50 staff and students will entertain and delight the audience with selections from favorites like Guys and Dolls to My Fair Lady and Cinderella to Seussical.

Reeves Middle School teacher and former Director Beth Land explained it this way, “It is a great feeling to see the students and families view their teachers – elementary, middle and high school teachers, bus drivers, para-educators, Superintendents, past-Superintendents, principals, administrators, PE teachers, custodians, and more in a fun, artsy way!”

The OSD Players musical has been an annual event since 1993; since 2005 all proceeds from the play benefit the Olympia School District Education Foundation (OSDEF). The Foundation is a non-profit IRS 501(c)3 organization whose programs include:

  • Classroom grants for educational resources, equipment, and enrichment experiences;
  • The Principals Emergency Checkbook Fund which helps remove barriers to learning by providing principals funding to meet emergent student needs; and
  • An annual $25,000 contribution for fifth grade Outdoor Education to underwrite every student attending Camp Cispus.
