Workshop:  Cancer Prevention Strategies – What Can You Do To Minimize Your Risk?

David Lerner has assisted hundreds of patients with cancer since 1996.

While mammograms and other screening methods are capable of early diagnosis, they have little to do with cancer prevention. With a variety of evidence based nutritional and botanical interventions, very practical steps can be taken to reduce the risk of getting cancer or having a cancer recurrence.

David Lerner will discuss the following, with an emphasis on how food, herbs and nutritional supplements can greatly minimize cancer risk. He will also discuss the specific protocols that we utilize at HCIM to help patients who have a cancer history, or who are at high risk:

  • testing methods that can identify subtle imbalances in the body’s “biological terrain”
  • the liver’s role in detoxifying carcinogens as well as healthy hormone metabolism.
  • the link between stress and blood sugar imbalances, and how they play a part in risk reduction.
  • clinically proven, “multi-tasking” herbs and nutritional supplements, that enhance immune, detoxification and hormonal function.
  • strategies to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, which play a prominent role in cancer formation.

This talk will be highly valuable to anyone who is hoping to achieve optimal levels of health, is at high risk for cancer, or has a history of cancer and is hoping to minimize risk of recurrence.
