Selling homes is how the realtors at Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic make a living, but their homes are where they make a life.  Family, friends and community all add to the spirit that makes a home special.  Everyone has a different reason that the structure they live in feels like their home.  Is it the people who are in it, the memories you have there, or simply the shelter and protection it gives?

From April 14 through May 4, Coldwell Banker will be accepting essays sharing what makes your house your home.  The contest is open to all Thurston County area High School aged students.  Essays will be voted on by fans after the submission period is over.  The top 10 finalists in the contest will be announced on May 26 with a winner selected on June 2.

Essays will be no more than 500 words in length (essays over 500 words will be automatically disqualified) and should answer the question, “What makes your house a home?”  And, your home doesn’t even need to be a house.  People live in all forms of housing – apartment, boat, cabin, even treehouse.

In 500 words or less describe why your house is more than just a shelter and what makes it your home. Submissions will be made through our company Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cbolympia.
