NOVA School Team Wins Seattle Rubik’s Cube Competition

NOVA School has the fastest Rubik’s cubers around! NOVA’s Rubik’s Cube Club placed 1st at the 2013 Seattle Regional You Can Do the Cube competition in the middle school division on May 25, 2013. Their team of eight students had the fastest time of 3 minutes and 26 seconds for collectively solving 25 Rubik’s Cubes.

In addition, NOVA 7th grader, Vin Somasundaram, placed 1st in the middle school solo competition. His average time for solving one Rubik’s Cube was 24 seconds!

The NOVA Rubik’s Cube Club included Vin Somasundaram (7th), Matthew Hovancsek (7th), Kai Bentley (7th), Behzad Bouzarjomehri (7th), Jonah Shin (7th), Joshua Shin (8th), Everett Werner (7th), and Sanjeev Ling-am-Nattamai (7th). Team Coach: Somasundaram Subbiah.
