Westport Winery co-owner Kim Roberts has been selected to co-author a chapter to the new, ground-breaking book Have Fork Will Travel for the world’s food and drink tourism industry. The book’s publisher, Erik Wolf, is the Executive Director of the World Food Travel Association (formerly the International Culinary Tourism Association). He selected Roberts along with Spanish writer and international marketing consultant Ulpiano J. Vázquez Martínez to author the chapter on Word of Mouth Marketing.

Vázquez Martínez is a specialist in product management, building corporate relations and brand development. Roberts’ contribution focuses on the case study of Westport Winery’s branding success in just five years. Roberts said of the process, “It’s really interesting to work with someone writing in a different language and then going through a Google app for the translation.” Each chapter of the book has a different team of writing collaborators and editors. The book is set to publish in the summer of 2013 with a targeted audience of those in the food, lodging and travel industry.

Roberts’ first novel, Luna Sea, was published in November and is available on Amazon and at Westport Winery. She was the previous recipient of the Washington State Newspaper Publishers Association Best General Column award. The Westport Winery success story has been covered by numerous newspapers, magazines and television features.

Westport Winery, Restaurant, Bakery and Nursery are open daily at 11a.m. The winery is open for lunch daily from 11 am. to 4 pm. and for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings from 4 p.m. to 8.p.m. The winery with its unique grape maze, extraordinary outdoor sculpture and display gardens is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Westport and Aberdeen.
