ThurstonTalk’s Martin Luther King Weekend Event Calendar For Olympia

Enjoy an extra day off from work, school and other routines.  Spend that time in Olympia, exploring the beautiful area that we all call home.  Promote service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Here are some events that will keep the family entertained throughout the extended weekend.

  • Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm – Stunt Dog Experience entertains families at The Washington Center.
  • Saturday from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Mijas, a group of domestic violence survivors, will be cooking and serving authentic Mexican food at the Governor Hotel.  Reservations recommended.
  • Saturday at 3:00 pm – Alec Clayton, a ThurstonTalk writer will be reading from his new book at Orca Books.
  • Monday – Participate in the YWCA’s Community Service project to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Thursday at 7:30 pm – Plan ahead for a live, improv comedy performance of Whose Live Anyway.  Read more here.
