The water temperatures remained higher than the outside air, but it was still a display of bravery for the hundred who participated in the Polar Bear Plunge sponsored by Lacey Parks and Recreation at Long Lake on New Years Day. Donned in various costumes and swimming accessories, the participants either jumped from the Long Lake dock or plunged in from the shore for a brief moment of shock and adrenaline.
