Celebrate the King’s birthday at the Yelm Timberland Library with Elvis Presley impersonator, Jason Whited. On Tuesday, January 8, “Elvis will be IN the building!” said Yelm Library Manager, Nicole Thode.

Leading up to the live show at 6:30 p.m., Presley’s films will be playing throughout the day in the library living room. Birthday cake and Elvis-themed snacks will be served (think along the lines of peanut butter and banana sandwiches). Attendees will also have an opportunity to answer some Elvis trivia.

Charisma, respect, honor, and humility are the qualities that Whited aims to bring to his shows, titled “Tribute to the King.” Whited wears the dazzling, iconic Elvis costuming and emulates Presley’s power and energy as he sings classic hits from the 1950s to 1970s. “Beautiful voice and raw emotion…it all showed,” wrote one concertgoer. Whited’s website is http://jasonwhited.net.

The program and snacks are being provided by the Friends of the Yelm Timberland Library. The library is located at 210 Prairie Park Street, Yelm. For more information, contact the library at (360) 458-3374 or go to www.TRL.org.
