The celebration gala, “Women Of Achievement: Going the Distance”, will take place on Thursday, November 1st from 5:30-8:30p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel Forest Ballroom. The event will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of Title IX, the landmark law passed in 1972 that requires gender equality for boys and girls in every federally funded athletic and educational program. Funds raised during the event will support the YWCA’s Other Bank, Girls Without Limits!, and Girls Circles programs.  The event is open to the public and tickets are available by contacting the YWCA of Olympia at (360) 352-0593. Tickets are $75 and tables of 8 are available for $600.  For more information about the Women of Achievement Celebration, contact Cherie Reeves Sperr, Event Coordinator at (360) 352-0593 or crsperr@ywcaofolympia.org.
