Nothing planned for Saturday? Well come to the wine tasting at Uncork & Unwind from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Uncork & Unwind will be hosting Wind River Cellars. What to expect – for $10 you can sample the following Red Wines – Tempranillo, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Port of Celilo.
Who is Wind River Cellars. Wind River Cellars is located in the charming town of Husum, WA in the scenic Columbia River Gorge. Wind River Cellars started in Washington State in 1995 and produce about 12 different varietals including Syrah, Lemberger, Merlot, Cab Franc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gewurztminer, Riesling and Chardonnay. Wind River Cellars was also the first producer of Tempranillo in Washington. Some of you might recognize this winery as they have participated in the Capital Food & Wine Festival for several years and have won several Golds, along with Best of Show, Best Booth and Several People’s Choice awards. Wind River Cellars has been voted one of the “Northwest’s Best Places to Kiss”. Joel Goodwillie, wine maker, will be here to pour the wines and will be available to answer any questions you might have about his wines.
