4 Stars for The Love List

We’ve all been there. Every adult has at some point made the proverbial “Things I want in a mate” list. And most typically, the list is inspired on the heals of a bad breakup or after years of being alone and wondering, why.

Either scenario…one is not setting themselves up for optimal success in the love department!

Well, that is unless you have a BFF as Bill does with Leon in the Harlequin’s production of The Love List – a romantic comedy by Norm Foster.

This play is great fodder for the romantically impaired or the recently singled individual! And a great date night for any couple looking to spark some energy in their relationship.

While reminiscent of a long since past episode of Twilight Zone, this play has the comedic punch that is knee slapping, belly laughing kind of humor. This two man and one woman performance is engaging from stage left to stage right. The triad of actors share a magical stage presence that when combined with good music, good whisky and    love list item #4 keeps audience members giggling till the very end.

With this the age of technology and a serious ‘gotta have it now’ culture, most adults only exchange dialogue via social networks and 140 characters in a tweet or text message. All the while, expecting that behavior to attract true love. But the charm in The Love List, is that you won’t see any use of high tech instruments in this play and yet it conveys a message for every generation.

Picking your mate is about knowing what you value, what you hold as sacred and what delights your senses.

When you honor that in yourself, the rest will take care of itself.

The Love List will inspire you to be curious about what you are passionate about, and be courageous in asking for it. This local performance, with three very dynamic and talented actors will get you to look at your “things I want in a mate” list with new perspective and feeling of fervor.
