A Day of Empowerment is designed by local women for local women

A Day of Empowerment is designed by local women for local women. The core beliefs of Empowered Women productions are threefold:  (1) women thrive by building relationships, (2) we have more in common than not, and (3) we need opportunities to connect. The annual Day of Empowerment gives women in our community a venue where they can connect with themselves and others while exploring the possibilities of growth and change.

The four founders — Nancy LaPointe, Marny Bright, Carrie Devlin, and Tammy Redmon —have been active in our community for several years. After taking an informal survey, they found that most women — homemakers, business owners, retirees, caregivers, and volunteers — feel disengaged from a sense of belonging. They seek a forum where they can celebrate and explore their uniqueness and connect with one another.  The Day of Empowerment is now that forum.

The full-day event will be filled with inspiring keynote speakers, creative hands-on workshops, effective networking opportunities, good food, and fun! The goal of the day is to inspire local women to realize their full potential and achieve self-sufficiency — financially, emotionally and physically.

This event has had a big impact on the women who have attended in the past. Here are some comments:

“The connections made, along the relevant business workshops, gave me the encouragement I needed to start my own counseling business.”

                                                                                                            — Kelli Foster

“The keynote speaker spoke of financial responsibility and emotions around financial decisions, which touched me deeply. Now I have a new career and focus as a financial recovery coach.”

—   Mary Billerbeck

“I loved the speakers and the workshops, and I saw friends and associates I hadn’t seen in so long. The Day of Empowerment was like getting a booster shot of inspiration and motivation.”

— Susan Alexander
