Friday August 19th – Sunday August 21st:        Get ready for a hard-core rock fest at the Helsing Junction Sleepover hosted by K Records. On the grounds of the Helsing Junction Farm (12013 Independence Rd.
Rochester, WA 98579), be prepared for an onslaught of the best local rock bands in the area including:

The line-up continues long beyond that. Plus after rocking out with your favorite bands, the Helsing grounds offer tons of opportunities to go swimming, camping, view underground films and tons of other awesome stuff. You can buy advance passes for $30 which include all musical events and camping (food costs are not included) for all three days, or you can purchase much cheaper admission based on the day, or evening, that you are going to be at the event. Saturday August 20th:        Cut loose this Saturday night and grab some friends for a showing of, “It Came From Planet TUSH!” presented by the Olympia Film Society (Capitol Theater 206 5th Ave. SE Olympia, WA 98501). It will be a spectacular, humorous, quirky and thoroughly enjoyable evening of Sci-Fi Fantasy strictly for grownups! To further spice up the evening are special guests Mercury Troy from, “A Wink & a Smile,” and aerialist Meat Pile, form Olympia’s Tall House Consortium.

Saturday August 20th:        Who doesn’t love their pets? This Saturday there will be a pet parade on Water Street in downtown Olympia according to the theme of “Movie Super Heroes vs. Super Villains.” Pets of all species will be strutting their stuff alongside their owners (for kids 16 and under), both of which will be in the most creative costumes possible.
