Olympia Area Weekend Events Update: Saturday 8/6 and Sunday 8/7

Saturday August 6th:                                 Take a turn through political history from 1PM to 3PM at the State Capitol Museum (211 21st Ave. SW Olympia, WA 98501). There will be fun activities and demonstrations including one by noted stone carver Keith Phillips, who will be carving our state’s treasured Wilkeson Sandstone. This event is free to attend and open for all ages.

 

Sunday August 7th:                     Stick it to neighborhood crime! In Rainier Vista Park (5475 45th Ave. Lacey, WA 98503) at 7:45AM the annual Race Against Crime fun run will take place. Benefitting and honoring the local law enforcement, whether you are a runner or more of a jogger/walker there are plenty of ways to participate and support your community! Registration begins at 7:30AM.

 

Sunday August 7th:                     This Sunday roll out your picnic blankets on the Capitol lawn (14th and Capitol Way Olympia, WA 98501) for the campus’ annual Olympia Symphony concert! The music begins at 5PM.
