Even though we have been expecting sunshine for a while now, it seems that we are going to be seeing rain clouds for a while yet. Don’t let the rain ruin your weekend plans!

Saturday April 2nd: On the first Saturday of every month, the Yelm Timberland Library has a book sale. People of all ages are guaranteed to find books suited to their age and favorite genres. Plus, the prices cannot be beaten. All paperbacks are 25 cents, and hardbacks can range form between 50 cents and one dollar. If your bookshelves are looking a little sparse after this long winter, stop and by and check it out! The sale opens with the library at 10AM, and goes until 3PM.

Saturday April 2nd: Looking for a fun family weekend activity? Head over to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts (512 Washington St SE Olympia, WA 98501) for an entertaining musical performance! Entitled, “Alexander and the No Good, Very Bad Day,” this play brings to life the popular book, of the same name, written by Judith Viorst. The story follows young Alexander who wakes up to a day that just can’t seem to go right at all. This is a comedic tale that the whole family will enjoy.

Tickets: $19.25 – $46.50 Prices vary depending on the age of the person for whom the ticket is purchased and the time of the show. Keep in mind also that the Washington Center also charges an extra $2.50 service fee on top of all ticket prices. Tickets can be purchased online at: www.washingtoncenter.org or by calling (360) 753-8586
