Saturday and Sunday 2/5 and 6: This month, the Downtown Olympia Weekend Market (210 Thurston Ave. NE Olympia, WA 98501)is now open for business. Not to be confused with the Farmer’s Market on the waterfront, the Weekend Market deals in antiques, vintage items, art, clothing, tools, even meteorites! There are upwards of forty vendors at the market every weekend with new ones coming through regularly. The market is open from 9AM-4PM, stop by and find a good deal!

Saturday and Sunday 2/5 and 6: The Little Olympia Theater (1925 Miller Ave. Olympia, WA 98506) is now showing it’s next play, “The Basketmaker,” this weekend. Set in Massachusets in 1725, the play tells the story of a mother and daughter living alone in the woods, distant from society and in their relationship towards each other. One day, a wandering Abenaki basket maker comes to their neck of the forest. Tough times cause the mother and daughter to have to accept the basket maker into their lives, repairing their own relationship along the way. Come watch this extraordinary tale of love and forgiveness unfold. On Saturday, the show starts at 7:55PM, and on Sunday, the show starts at 1:55PM. Saturday and Sunday 2/5 and 6: In the mood to tickle your inner child? The Washington Center for the Arts (512 Washington Ave SE Olympia, WA 98512) is putting on a rendition of, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” Watch as Lewis Carroll’s’ classic tale is brought to life in Stage II at 2PM Saturday and Sunday.
