Join us at Hovedstad Lodge, Sons of Norway as we welcome author Jerry Pugnetti, Jr. as he tells us about his latest book, “A Coat Dyed Black”.
Don (Jerry) Pugnetti Jr. has had a long career in journalism and public affairs. He was a reporter and editor for 18 years at The News Tribune, Tacoma, most of it covering state and local government and politics. He is a former member of the Capitol Press Corps. He later served as deputy state auditor/chief policy advisor 16 years for now-retired State Auditor Brian Sonntag. Jerry also was a visiting communications professor at the University of North Florida and adjunct instructor at Pacific Lutheran University. He holds a B.A. in Journalism from Washington State University and an M.A. in Communications from the University of Washington. On February 1, 2022, he published his debut historical novel, A Coat Dyed Black, A Novel of the Norwegian Resistance, set in Norway during World War II. The book is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and may be ordered through independent bookstores. Now retired, Jerry lives in Gig harbor with his wife, Wendy, where novel No. 2 is currently in the works.
