The Medicine Creek Council took place in the Nisqually Delta on Dec. 26, 1854. It brought together 62 Native American tribal leaders and a contingent of American settlers headed by territorial Gov. Isaac Stevens, and changed the course of Northwest history. Historian, author, and ThurstonTalk.com history writer Drew Crooks will discuss the event and its ramifications.
