Don Trosper (Public History Manager, “Heritage Builders” program, Olympia Tumwater Foundation) and Drew Crooks (Local Historian and Author)

This illustrated panel program will focus on some aspects of the fascinating industrial history of Olympia and Tumwater. Don Trosper will look at the history of the Olympia Brewing Company and the working people who made the business a success. Drew Crooks will examine the artist Edward Lange’s drawings that documented the area’s sawmills and other industrial sites between 1889 and 1912 when they were in full operation. A questions and answers period with the presenters will conclude the event.
