Olympia Garden Club March Meeting

The Olympia Garden Club is a group of men and women interested in gardening, conservation, and floral design. We also serve the community with projects to help beautify and maintain public areas. Visitors are invited to the next meeting on Thursday March 26 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1925 Boulevard Rd, SE, Olympia. Gathering begins around 9:00 AM with a social time to view horticulture/design displays and purchase plants donated by members. Business meeting begins at 10 AM and incudes floral design tips, a talk about bird habitat, and Chairpersons reporting on club projects. One current project is preparing for their annual Arbor Day Celebration at Squaxin Park on April 16. Members bring their own lunch and beverage cups. Coffee and tea are provided.
Our March program features Farra Layne Hayes, LOTT Communications and Outreach Director, LOTT Clean water Alliance, who will discuss Cleaning and Restoring Water Resources for Our Community. LOTT provides wastewater management services for the urban areas of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater in Thurston County. LOTT’s mission is to protect public health and the environment by cleaning water and recovering resources for our community.
