Olympia Arts Commission “Music Out Loud” Project

The Olympia Arts Commission will hold a public hearing on names submitted by the community for the Music Out Loud project on Thursday May 14, at 6:00 pm at Olympia City Hall, 604 4th Ave. E, Room 112. Of 9 names submitted, the Commission will be determining up to three names for inclusion in public art sidewalk sites in downtown Olympia. The public is encouraged to attend. The Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Department and the Olympia Arts Commission previously requested citizens to submit names to posthumously honor musicians who have significantly contributed to music growth in the area or made a name for Olympia, through artistic design and a music performance series at up to three sidewalk sites in downtown Olympia. Submission for names was closed at 5:00 pm on April 30.
